I particularly love this recipe because it’s only six ingredients, easy to make, and has just the right amount of of buttery, salty, sweetness. All the nostalgia of your favorite oozy-gooey treat without using corn syrup or white sugar.
The maple syrup adds such incredible flavor, and the walnuts bring a toasty, savory crunch. And even a healthy does of good fats.

This warm, Roasted Broccoli and Cauliflower Salad with Sage Butter and toasted pepitas and sunflower seeds is one I’ve recently developed to please a crowd, as I find these two vegetables have a better reputation than ever before. They’re the cool kids on the block, and for good reason – they’re delicious, especially when roasted.

They’re no bake.
Four ingredients, including dark chocolate.
And sweetened just with maple syrup, rather than a boatload of powdered sugar like many recipes call for.
This variation is less aggressively sweet, with warm flavors from the cookies, and just a touch of salt. It really brings out the peanut buttery goodness.

The recipes I share with you on this blog and Instagram are some of my favorite things to eat. But when it comes to every day meals and how my day flows, I have a rhythm just like you.
What I eat often comes together unplanned (I don’t meal plan, and often wish I did), digging through the refrigerator or pantry.
My food doesn’t always look “pretty” or artistic. That’s not to say I never style some of what I eat because sometimes I want it to be special, and it makes me feel good.
But overall, we’re more alike thank you’d think. Here’s what I eat in a day.

Carbs, cheese, and butter are certainly a trio to be reckoned with. Put them into pull-apart, hasselback form…. irresistible. And the fastest way to transform store-bought dinner rolls into something magical. It’s like everyone gets their own personalized garlic cheesy bread loaf.
When you take a bite, you’re greeted by everything you love about garlic bread, with pull-apart magic. And the next bite, followed by the next roll. Pretty tough to have just one. ☺️

Now that Thanksgiving is over, I’m in full on cookie mode.
Everything you love about a fudgy brownie, rolled into a phenomenal cookie.
Studded with chunks of toasted walnuts.
Having the richest cocoa flavor.
And a chewy center, surrounded by buttery crisp edges.

Memories of the instant oatmeal flavors I grew up with are what inspired this Coconut Sugar Oatmeal with Caramelized Apples. A little more grown up, but still incredibly simple to make. I used coconut sugar in place of brown sugar, which brings a fabulous caramel flavor to both the sautéed apples and the oatmeal. And it still melts on top, just the way I remember. A few golden raisins for texture and a drizzle of whole milk to complete this bowlful of warm and cozy.

The instant pot has solved all my problems for cooking the perfect pot of beans! So I’m giving one away, and sharing this creamy white bean soup recipe, which has quickly become our favorite. It’s simple to make, simple ingredients, and perfect for cozy nights in.

There are a million cranberry sauce recipes on the internet. Literally.
But I’m going to put one more out there because maybe like you, I was under the impression that all cranberry sauces were cloyingly sweet, over-spiced, and one of those “I know nobody likes it, but we have to have it on the table” type of thing. Not this one! It’s made with orange juice, maple syrup, and dried cherries…. sweet and tart, and a beautiful burst of red for the Thanksgiving table.

This easy to make, time saving stuffingincludes my absolute favorite fall ingredients. Highly customizable, I choose to nestle in sprigs of thyme, garlic, and shallots alongside the seedy bread, squash, and sprouts.

Are you on board with eating dessert for breakfast? I hope so… Because hiding behind its indulgent look, there’s a combination of things you probably eat in the morning anyways, like greek yogurt, bananas, honey, macadamia nuts, and Cheerios. Layering the ingredients into a tart not only makes it feel more fancy, it causes the flavors to dance in a different way.
I’d heard that straining greek yogurt overnight brings it to a cream cheese consistency, but I’d never attempted. Well it worked, brilliantly. And became the cool and creamy, honey sweetened filling to this “healthyish” tart.

Roasted grapes have so much mojo. They turn an average fruit into something spectacular, and bring major flavor oomph to whatever you decide to pair them, like cauliflower steaks, or today’s recipe, marinated goat cheese with walnuts and thyme.
And a few words about what happened at my recent skin cancer screening, and why it’s important to get checked yearly.
