The Best Homemade Pimento Cheese Recipe

Whip up this homemade pimento cheese dip for any party and watch it disappear! Super simple appetizer.

  • 6 ounces sharp cheddar cheese preferably Tillamook
  • 1/3 cup mayonaise
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1 (4 ounce) jar pimento peppers, drained
  • 1 teaspoon white wine vinegar
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 teaspoons minced chives


  • Shred cheddar cheese using a grater or food processor, into medium shreds.
  • Add cheddar and remaining ingredients to a bowl and stir to coat and combine. Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes prior to serving, up to two days.
